Vice-Captain – Christopher Williams[email protected]

Bio:

 • Name: Vice Captain “C.P.” aka Christopher Paul Williams

 • Why you Joined BMR: I joined Black Men Run personally, because as a young man I witness my father survive the battle against heart disease and I didn’t realize this at that time, but his health journey changed the trajectory of my own path. It was at that moment when I helped him through his recovery from his triple bypass surgery, that I too wanted to be better with my own health choices. This epiphany set me on a mission to always find individuals with the same mindset in hopes of learning from them, so that I too can improve, and help inspire others to do the same.

 • What are your goals with BMR:  It is my goal to make an impact in our community to help defeat health disparities specifically in black men. My purpose each day is to manifest a spirit of empowerment that is unbreakable despite any obstacles that I may face. I want to encourage, challenge, and uplift one another so that we may all thrive. We all have so much potential and we are all capable of so much more than we know.

 • What races you’ve done and plan on training for upcoming season: I just completed the VR Rocky Mountain 5K in Denver, Colorado. However, I have a long list of races set for the remaining year, please check them out on the Black Men Run CINCINNATI social media page pinned at the top that highlights our events! I hope to see everyone with their running shoes! Let’s get it, Let’s go!
